Let’s Chat about immunity
Honestly friends, we are busy. We’ve got a million and one things to handle daily. Work, school, potty training little ones, helping older kids with homework, being a personal chauffeur, cleaning the house, trying to have a social life….etc. It’s not easy.
This is why staying on top of your game is so important. You’ve got things to handle, no time for feeling like junk, my friend.
These are some of my favorite things I take/do to keep my immune system strong. Nothing is a guarantee, but I want to give my body the best shot at fighting off any sickness.
Exercise is linked to immune health. A recent review published in the Journal of Sport and Health Science found that obesity and and inactivity can lower the function of the immune system, but engaging in a healthy lifestyle can help improve the immune system’s surveillance activity (when immune cells are in the bloodstream looking for infection) and may even reduce mortality rates from respiratory illnesses.
The review found that 30 to 60 minutes of near daily brisk walking (at least 3.5 miles per hour, or a 17-minute mile) can improve your body’s defense against germs. You don’t have to do anything crazy, just move your body!
